Nelson Chambers have a unique opportunity for an Assistant Company Secretary to join a global Professional Services firm in house to manage and deliver the provision of a high quality professional company secretarial service to the group and its clients in London.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing the portfolio of company secretarial work of the group and its clients including:
Organising, preparing and circulating agenda and papers for board meetings, committees and EGMs/AGMs;
Taking minutes, draft resolutions, and lodging required forms with Companies House;
Following up on actions from meetings;
Maintaining statutory books, including registers of members, directors and secretaries;
Ensuring annual confirmation statements and other event driven notices are filed with Companies House within the prescribed period;
Monitoring changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and taking appropriate action;
Leading a small team and carrying out ad hoc office management responsibilities.
Skills & Experience Required:
Qualification with ICSA or degree level or equivalent;
Company secretarial experience;
Advanced working knowledge of Blueprint.
Good communication and presentation skills;
Self-directed and can effectively and independently manage time across various projects;
Possess an entrepreneurial mindset and have the vision to grow company secretarial offering over time;
Team player, able to manage people.
