Nelson Chambers are working with a top Law firm who have an exciting position for a Real Estate Paralegal to join the team on a permanent basis working from home with the use of London Office to attend meetings.

The UK based firm are seeking an ambitious paralegal to work with a partner and his real estate finance team, which primarily acts for lenders on finance transactions secured on real estate.

The role will focus on instructions from challenger banks and bridging/development loan funders that form the core of the team\'s client base, offering a turnkey operation which complements the team\'s broader service proposition. This will support the newly appointed partner joining the firm, the role will initially involve set up of operations and onboarding of clients along with general administration. Once set up is established, there will be a good deal of day-to-day contact with and advising of clients, as part of a close-knit team environment where people work together to deliver outstanding client service.

The right candidate will have had experience with volume property finance transactions and will be organised, self-motivated and committed to delivering quality work for demanding clients within tight deadlines. This opportunity will allow you to develop and grow your legal expertise and case management skills, and you will also be encouraged to develop your business development and marketing skills.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Implementing on each new lending instruction a formal standard protocol to deliver as far as is possible a turnkey service
  • Having day to day conduct (subject to full supervision) and responsibility for short term secured loan instructions from banks and bridging lenders from instruction to completion
  • Overseeing post-completion registration and other formalities.
  • Generating and issuing copies of completion documents
  • Dealing with loan redemptions, discharges of whole and parts of securities, loan tranche releases and further advances
  • Populating documents and organising files
  • Handling client expectations and deadlines in a proactive manner Personal Specification


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and some understanding of case management software



• Ideally 2 years\' experience within a paralegal role, minimum 1 year experience

• Experience in property finance transactions, ideally with specific knowledge and experience of acting on behalf of challenger banks and bridging/development loan funders

• Previous experience of operating in a fast-paced environment with a significant amount of client contact

  • New Business Administrator

    Nelson Chambers are working alongside a highly regarded regional law firm who have an exciting role for an Administrator to join the busy Conveyancing Department.

    This role will provide a first class service to the clients and support to the manager and conveyancers, being the first point of contact to clients who are enquiring about conveyancing instructions and looking to give the firm the business. Being able to manage expectations and workflows is a main focus and the successful candidate will identify ways to improve the success of the new business team and the conversion to help the firm make a profit.


    Administration and other support including: To keep confidential: the affairs and identity of our clients information about the firm information about your colleagues unless you have specific authority to disclose such information. Providing full support to other members of the department where the support of the new business team is required To help to achieve the objectives of the department and the firm as a whole. Follow the instructions, systems and standards set out in the firm\'s office manual. To ensure that you comply in all respects with the rules and guidance issued for the professional conduct of solicitors and their staff.

    Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required

    A polite, approachable, professional telephone, and face to face manner at all times. A good understanding of the word processing packages being used within the firm and an interest to progress training whenever possible. An enthusiastic approach and attitude to the workload of the members of your department and clients with a view to becoming actively involved. Good communication skills - both written and oral, including legible handwriting. A flexible, common sense approach to solving problems and achieving deadlines. Ability to work hard and consistently whilst under pressure.
