Nelson Chambers are working alongside a highly regarded regional law firm who have an exciting role for an Administrator to join the busy Conveyancing Department.

This role will provide a first class service to the clients and support to the manager and conveyancers, being the first point of contact to clients who are enquiring about conveyancing instructions and looking to give the firm the business. Being able to manage expectations and workflows is a main focus and the successful candidate will identify ways to improve the success of the new business team and the conversion to help the firm make a profit.

 Responsibilities

  • Administration and other support including:
    • To keep confidential:
      • the affairs and identity of our clients
      • information about the firm
      • information about your colleagues
    • unless you have specific authority to disclose such information.
  • Providing full support to other members of the department where the support of the new business team is required
  • To help to achieve the objectives of the department and the firm as a whole.
  • Follow the instructions, systems and standards set out in the firm\'s office manual.
  • Being a point of contact for clients by telephone or face to face and ensuring a polite and friendly attitude at all times.
  • To ensure that you comply in all respects with the rules and guidance issued for the professional conduct of solicitors and their staff.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required

  • A polite, approachable, professional telephone, and face to face manner at all times.
  • A good understanding of the word processing packages being used within the firm and an interest to progress training whenever possible.
  • An enthusiastic approach and attitude to the workload of the members of your department and clients with a view to becoming actively involved.
  • Good communication skills - both written and oral, including legible handwriting.
  • A flexible, common sense approach to solving problems and achieving deadlines.
  • Ability to work hard and consistently whilst under pressure.
