Nelson Chambers are delighted to be working with a central London employment department in their search for a senior associate to join their busy and rapidly expanding team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collegiate and inclusive environment. The firm offers high quality work handing complex and high value cases for both senior executives and businesses. 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 6 years PQE with strong litigation experience ideally gained in an employment team.  In addition, a can-do attitude and willingness to be involved in the full range of work undertaken by the firm is key as is a willingness to be involved in business development and marketing initiatives.

Required Skills (non-exhaustive)

  • Ability to demonstrate conduct of employment claims on behalf of Respondents and Claimants.
  • Strong drafting skills in both contentious and non-contentious work.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Confidence to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Interest and willingness to undertake business development
  • A good billing and client care record

    Nelson Chambers have been instructed by a Top Law firm based in East Anglia to help in the search for a Commercial Property Solicitor to join the expanding team in North Cambridge

    The role will deal with various and complex Cases with main responsibilities to include but not limited to:

    Grant of commercial leases for both landlord and tenant Ancillary matters to leases e.g. licences to assign, deeds of variation, assignments, surrenders Must have knowledge of Part II Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and procedures for excluding leases Dealing with sales and purchases of commercial property both freehold and long leasehold Have an understanding of which standard enquiries to raise in transactions Be adept to dealing with sales and purchases of parts of a title and understanding transfer of part provisions to include Dealing with financing for commercial property Dealing with option agreements, overage, conditional contracts for residential development sites Dealing with set up of sale packs for development sites
