A fantastic opportunity for a Company Secretarial Assistant has arisen with a global firm based in London. This role will initially be home based but as restrictions lift a split of office and home working will be needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Organise, prepare and circulate agendas and papers for board meetings, committees and EGMs/AGMs;
  • Take minutes, draft resolutions, and lodge required forms with Companies House;
  • Follow up on actions from meetings;
  • Maintain statutory books, including registers of members, directors and secretaries;
  • Maintain the register of shareholders and monitor changes in share ownership of the co sec clients;
  • Ensure filing of annual confirmation statements, and other event driven forms with Companies House within the prescribed period;
  • Monitor changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and take appropriate action.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Qualification with ICSA or degree level or equivalent;
  • Experience working in a company secretarial role will be advantageous
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Attention to detail and ability to think clearly;
  • Self-directed and can effectively and independently manage time across various projects and priorities, taking a pragmatic and business-minded approach throughout;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure.

    Nelson Chambers are working alongside a highly regarded regional law firm who have an exciting role for an Administrator to join the busy Conveyancing Department.

    This role will provide a first class service to the clients and support to the manager and conveyancers, being the first point of contact to clients who are enquiring about conveyancing instructions and looking to give the firm the business. Being able to manage expectations and workflows is a main focus and the successful candidate will identify ways to improve the success of the new business team and the conversion to help the firm make a profit.


    Administration and other support including: To keep confidential: the affairs and identity of our clients information about the firm information about your colleagues unless you have specific authority to disclose such information. Providing full support to other members of the department where the support of the new business team is required To help to achieve the objectives of the department and the firm as a whole. Follow the instructions, systems and standards set out in the firm\'s office manual. Being a point of contact for clients by telephone or face to face and ensuring a polite and friendly attitude at all times. To ensure that you comply in all respects with the rules and guidance issued for the professional conduct of solicitors and their staff.

    Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required

    A polite, approachable, professional telephone, and face to face manner at all times. A good understanding of the word processing packages being used within the firm and an interest to progress training whenever possible. An enthusiastic approach and attitude to the workload of the members of your department and clients with a view to becoming actively involved. Good communication skills - both written and oral, including legible handwriting. A flexible, common sense approach to solving problems and achieving deadlines. Ability to work hard and consistently whilst under pressure.
