We are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager, to support our teams of experienced Recruitment Consultants.

This is a new role in executing and implementing BD activities. You will have the opportunity to work across all our businesses, with a particular focus on the Accountancy Practice & Legal sectors.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Undertaking analysis of internal and external data sources to meet service line and sector needs (ICAEW, ACCA, ICPA, IFA, CIOT, The Law Society, etc)
  • Supporting the teams on client relationship management and activity as directed
  • Supporting the team on preparation for pipeline review meetings including maintaining the pipeline
  • Supporting the teams in the use of products and content for client engagement purposes
  • Drawing together market intelligence and liaises with managers and Directors regarding target information to support the sales process
  • Undertaking follow up actions to networking and marketing activity to generate appropriate meetings with clients, active targets, and intermediaries
  • Developing an understanding of each service line and keeping up-to-date with industry developments bringing these to the attention of relevant stakeholders
  • Understanding the issues and opportunities facing the service lines in order to support them with growing and developing the business

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

Ideally, you will have several years’ experience of working for or with professional services firms and be heavily networked with this audience. You may have been in a Marketing or Business Development capacity and have natural interest in face to face networking, communication, and helping people achieve their ambitions.

  • A professional with business development/marketing experience at AM or Manager level
  • A professional, credible, and confident communicator with strong influencing skills and the ability to work well with stakeholders at all levels within the firm
  • Experience in supporting projects and multiple relationships, able to work on multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Strong written English language skills, and an ability to write clearly and concisely
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload
  • Well-organised with a proactive approach
  • A strong grasp of Word, PowerPoint, and CRM

In addition to the below benefits, the basic salary on offer for this position would be up to £40,000. Although this is negotiable based on experience. We anticipate that the OTE for this role would be north of £60,000.

Additional info

  • You will predominantly be based in our HQ (Rochford, Southend) Office, and travel to prospect sites and events will be required. From time to time you may work from home depending on business and client needs.

  • Senior Immigration Advisor - International Law Firm (Tier 2/Skilled Worker Focus)

    My client is recognised as a leading sector focuses international law firm with over 50 offices worldwide. Specialising in insurance, transport, energy and infrastructure the wider firm boasts an array of top-quality clientele.

    The London based Immigration team sits within the wider employment team and currently comprises of 1 Partner, a Senior Immigration Manager, a Senior Immigration advisor and an Immigration associate. Due to an increased workload, they are seeking an additional senior immigration advisor to join their practice.

    Advising primarily on UK in-bound corporate immigration matters the successful applicant will be responsible for;

    Advising on and drafting Tier 2/Skilled worker applications Handling application processes from start to finish Supporting the wider team as required Updating various audit documents and keeping up to date with relevant processes, procedures and rules.

    Key requirements

  • Employment Associate (2 - 3 PQE) - International Law Firm

    My client is recognised as a leading sector focuses international law firm with over 50 offices worldwide. Specialising in insurance, transport, energy and infrastructure the wider firm boasts an array of top-quality clientele.

    The London based Employment team is well known for advising clients on a range of complex contentious, advisory and transactional matters and is particularly well-regarded for its high court litigation.

    The team now seeks to add a junior associate (2 – 3 PQE, as a guide) who will advise a varied and international client base on a range of matters including but not limited to,

    Handling all types of employment-related litigation, including High Court Litigation Advising clients on whistleblowing, equal pay and discrimination Providing support to the corporate team and advising on the TUPE aspects of Mergers & Acquisitions and re-organisations. Advising and negotiating settlement agreements for employees (Senior Executives). Providing day-to-day HR advisory support. You will also actively contribute to non-fee earning activities such as business development, training and producing know-how material.

    The successful candidate will have at least 2 years PQE within employment law, ideally gained at a top international, leading regional or boutique law firm. You will have broad employment experience covering contentious and non-contentious matters as well as providing corporate support. Experience in High-court litigation work is desirable.

    The employment team focuses on working collaboratively and offers excellent support to junior lawyers.

    The team operates a hybrid working model allowing lawyers to work from home up to 3 days a week.

    In reward, they are offering a salary of £85,000 - £90,000 along with a lucrative bonus structure and additional benefits.
