An ambitious law firm based in the South East is looking to grow the business with an experienced Employment Solicitor who will be home based permanently as they go through this exciting journey transitioning to provide services digitally and on a national basis.

They act for employers and employers on the full range of employment cases, with a current emphasis on claimant work.

Main Duties will include:

  • Provide top-quality employment law advice within the clearly defined standards of case management and customer service.
  • Be self-supervising with the appropriate support and provide supervision to others.
  • Help grow the business as part of our business development strategy.


  • A minimum of 4 years\' PQE as an employment specialist (or equivalent), and the confidence to self-supervise.
  • Solid experience with claimant or respondent work, and the ability to undertake either without further training.
  • The sensitivity to support employee clients through emotionally distressing cases.
  • A suitably equipped and quiet home office, with a high quality broadband service, ergonomically appropriate equipment (IT equipment will be supplied) and the ability to maintain a high level of security and confidentiality during working hours.
  • A high level of competence with all Office 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and Powerpoint in particular) Zoom and other web-based applications. Experience with DPS case management software is beneficial but not necessary.
  • It will be beneficial but not necessary to be based close to one of our network of offices in London and the South East

    Main Duties and Responsibilities:


    Managing the portfolio of company secretarial work of the group and its clients including:


    Organising, preparing and circulating agenda and papers for board meetings, committees and EGMs/AGMs; Taking minutes, draft resolutions, and lodging required forms with Companies House; Following up on actions from meetings; Maintaining statutory books, including registers of members, directors and secretaries; Ensuring annual confirmation statements and other event driven notices are filed with Companies House within the prescribed period; Monitoring changes in relevant legislation and the regulatory environment and taking appropriate action; Leading a small team and carrying out ad hoc office management responsibilities.


    Skills & Experience Required:


    Qualification with ICSA or degree level or equivalent; Company secretarial experience; Advanced working knowledge of Blueprint. Good communication and presentation skills; Self-directed and can effectively and independently manage time across various projects; Possess an entrepreneurial mindset and have the vision to grow company secretarial offering over time; Team player, able to manage people.
