The successful candidate will have experience in drafting and advisory work (restrictive covenants, settlement agreements, employment contracts) as well as disciplinary issues and contentious work for both claimants and respondents etc.

  • Residential Conveyancer
    £30000 per year - 45000 per year

    Nelson Chambers is working with a medium sized law firm based in Chelmsford. They are now seeking a Residential Conveyancer to join their firm.

    You\'ll be taking over a full caseload with support from a Senior Solicitor.

  • New Business Administrator
    £18000 per year - 20000 per year

    Nelson Chambers are working alongside a highly regarded regional law firm who have an exciting role for an Administrator to join the busy Conveyancing Department.

    This role will provide a first class service to the clients and support to the manager and conveyancers, being the first point of contact to clients who are enquiring about conveyancing instructions and looking to give the firm the business. Being able to manage expectations and workflows is a main focus and the successful candidate will identify ways to improve the success of the new business team and the conversion to help the firm make a profit.


    Administration and other support including: To keep confidential: the affairs and identity of our clients information about the firm information about your colleagues unless you have specific authority to disclose such information. Providing full support to other members of the department where the support of the new business team is required To help to achieve the objectives of the department and the firm as a whole. Follow the instructions, systems and standards set out in the firm\'s office manual. Being a point of contact for clients by telephone or face to face and ensuring a polite and friendly attitude at all times. To ensure that you comply in all respects with the rules and guidance issued for the professional conduct of solicitors and their staff.

    Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required

    A polite, approachable, professional telephone, and face to face manner at all times. A good understanding of the word processing packages being used within the firm and an interest to progress training whenever possible. An enthusiastic approach and attitude to the workload of the members of your department and clients with a view to becoming actively involved. Good communication skills - both written and oral, including legible handwriting. A flexible, common sense approach to solving problems and achieving deadlines. Ability to work hard and consistently whilst under pressure.

    The team are seeking a motivated and experienced Employment Solicitor to join their busy and growing practice. This is an excellent opportunity to join a friendly firm with big ideas.

    The successful candidate will be 3-7 PQE and will have experience dealing with a broad mix of employment law matters including drafting and advisory work (restrictive covenants, settlement agreements, employment contracts) as well as contentious work for both claimants and respondents.

    In reward the company is offering a base salary between £55,000 to £65,000 p.a.

  • Real Estate Associate 2 years pqe
    £38000 per year - 45000 per year

    Nelson Chambers are working with a prestigious law firm who are looking to expand the Real Estate Team with a 2+ PQE Lawyer to join them at Associate Level.

    As a Real Estate Associate, you\'ll support a Senior Partner with their practice and provide an excellent service for their clients.

    The Partner\'s practice is varied and includes acting for well-known organisations. You\'ll have the flexibility of remote working and flexible hours, alongside a competitive salary and commission structure.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Acting for lenders on property finance transactions - reviewing and reporting on title, planning and searches; taking security over freehold and leasehold property Acting for developers and investors on commercial properties with experience on commercial leases and agreements for lease Transactional landlord and tenant - granting leases and lease management

    Personal Specification Skills

    Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Accuracy and strong attention to detail Ability to build strong rapports and relationships Strong IT skills (specifically Microsoft Excel/Word and Data Rooms)


    2-4 years PQE Experience of working within real estate and real estate finance Experience of working with borrowers, lenders, and landlords A strong understanding of legal terminology
